
Carmen Giovanazzi is a doctoral student at the Institute for Socioeconomics at the University of Duisburg-Essen. Her research focuses on corporate governance and corporate finance, income and wealth distribution, macroeconomics and comparative political economy. As part of the erasmus mundus master's programme "Economic Policies in the Age of Globalisation", she completed a Master's degree in International Economics at Berlin School of Economics and Law (HWR) and a Master's degree in Economic Analysis and Policy at Paris Université 7 and 13 - Paris Sorbonne Cité. Before starting her doctorate, she worked for more than two years in the German Parliament, where she was a financial advisor and head of office of the spokesperson for fiscal policy and deputy chairman of DIE LINKE Fabio De Masi. Carmen is an associate member of the Institute for Political Economy (IPE) and a scholarship holder of the Hans Böckler Foundation.
